“Here’s How You Can Quickly and Easily Convert Units of Time in Math”

Time is a component of the measuring system used to sequence events, to compare the durations of events and the intervals between them, and to quantify the motions of objects. Time has been a major subject of religion, philosophy, and science, but defining it in a non-controversial manner applicable to all fields of study has consistently eluded the greatest scholars


The importance of time in math is reflected simply by how human beings are dependent on clocks. We move around with watches on our hands. Clocks have been placed in homes, offices, schools and strategic places in town and cities.

From the time we wake up to the time we go to bed, all our activities and flight schedules are some examples to time management. It is important that time is managed efficiently so that all our duties and responsibilities are completed. For this reason it is important to understand the relationship between converting units of time in math.

 

Steps

Explanations

1 825 days = ……. years

 

i.    Refer to the time ladder below.

ii.   Convert days to years.

iii. If it’s going up, we divide.

ii.   Convert decades to years and vice-versa.

      Example:

a.      2 decades = ………years

 

i.      Refer to the time ladder below.

ii.     Convert decades to years.

iii.    If it’s going down, we multiply.

1 decade = 10 years

   


 

40 years  = ………decades

 

i.    Refer to the time ladder.

ii.   Convert years to decades.

iii. If it’s going up, we divide

36 months = …… years

 

i.    Refer to the time ladder.

ii.   Convert months to years.

iii. If it’s going up, we divide.

iv. Convert hours to days and vice-versa.

         Apply the above steps please

v.   Convert hours to minutes and vice-versa.

vi. Convert hours and minutes to minutes and vice-versa,

vii. Convert minutes to hours and minutes and vice-versa.
