Reducing Fractions

Reducing Fractions With Simplifying

Did you know that if you could reducing fractions with simplifying from the fractions in math?

Here I am going to show you reducing fractions of  math with simplifying the fractions step by step.

First you need to find out the common factor of two fractions in math.

But what is a “Factor” in a fractions of math means?

The “Factor” in a fractions means that a number that is able to be divided evenly into another in math.

 For example,

Factors of 24 are 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 24

Factors of 9 are 1, 3, 9

Factors of 10 are 1, 5, 10

Factors of 56 are 1, 2, 4, 7, 8, 14, 28, 56

Now, let us know better what is the “Common Factor” in the fractions of math.

“Common Factor” exist when two numbers have the same factor.

For example,

One of the common factor of 12 and 6 is 3.

The common factor of 9 and 27 are 1, 3, 9

The common factor of 4 and 8 are 1, 2, 4

The common factor of 15 and 30 are 1, 3, 5, 15

After we know how to find the common factor of two numbers, then we are able to reducing fractions through simplify the fractions into its simplest form.

Reducing Fractions Through Simplifying Fractions into Simplest Form

When the only common factor of the numerator and denominator is 1, the fraction is in its simplest form.

Whereby, the Greatest Common Factor can be identify through the following methods.

Then in order to get the simplest form of a fraction.

First we have to find the greatest common factor of the numerator and denominator and divide both numerator and denominator by that number. Like what have been shown below.

Reducing Fractions

In this example, 6 is the common factor for the numbers of 12 and 18.

And 3 is the common factor for the numbers of 9 and 21 in the above example.

4 is the common factor for the numbers of 12 and 20 in the example above.

I hope you should gain a clear picture by now on how to reducing fractions through simplify the fractions to its simplest form.
