Learn Place Value Together With KidsMathBlog

Do you feel frustrated with place value? If you do, then there is only one way to stop the pain: Learn place value by hard and KidsMathBlog is here to help you to learn the place value in math.

Each number position has a value. The  mathematician who devised the system  stated that “from place to place each is ten times the preceding.” That is why the number system now is called a positional number system with base ten and is given the name of place value.

However, when numbers are composed of more than three digits, commas are sometimes used to separate the digits into groups of three (such as 1,465,345). These groups of three are called periods, and they greatly simplify reading numbers, in term of place value.
