Fractions Simplest Form

Step By Step Guide of Fractions in Simplest Form

Let me cut right to the chase. If you like to be good in fractions in math, then you need to know how to reducing fractions into fractions in simplest form!

Here I am going to show you some examples to transform the fractions of math into fractions in simplest form.

To get to fractions in simplest form, first you must know how to get common factor of both numerator and denominator of the fractions in math.

In math for example,

the common factor of 9 are 1, 3, 9;

the common factor of 8 are 1, 2, 4, 8;

the common factor of 7 are 1, 7;

the common factor of 6 are 1, 2, 3, 6

Fractions in Simplest Form in Math

Only after you have success to identify the common factor of two numbers, then you can divide both numerator and denominator by that common factor.

The picture below show few examples for your reference.

 The look for common factor of these two numbers; 8 and 14 which are 4.

Only then we can transform the fractions into its simplest form by divide both numerator and denominator by the common factor, like what have been shown below.

and

Let me show another example:

Reducing Fractions

Then we have to look for common factor of number 15 and 24.

After common factor had been identified, only we can calculate the fractions into fractions simplest form. Like what have been shown below.

I hope you should understand by now on how to achieve fractions in its simplest form through step by step guide above.
